'Spirituality' / Our whole spectrum of experiences
I got inspired by Manuelabosco's post about becoming spiritual. You might like to read it. It’s from today, with the beautiful sepia coloured cover picture where she and her partner are laying on the ground.
I also got inspired as I’ve heard some other people mention about spirituality this week too.
I will use certain words as they might represent what I mean the closest but lets see if it is possible not to label things strongly as often there are many sides to take into account.
For me the words becoming fully alive is representative of what is 'spiritual', although I would rather like to call it; being connected to self. Self representing our personality and soul. It is not either or, it is both and.. and the word ‘and’ I would see as the connection to whole (all of us).
So, if we use the word spiritual now and not label something to be “spiritual” but rather say that in all there can be spirituality. With this I mean that can be deeply connected or even merged to whatever we are doing, experiencing, wherever we are. And sure there are “spiritual” practices and lineages to connect to, to restore, strengthen this connection to the soul and whole. But also not forgetting our “humanity”, natural human experiences, especially if we would tend to bypass any personal experiences.
For me, if we are connected to our soul and whole, there is deep inner knowing and trust in what to do, answers are within, there can be a flow of inspiration, and many qualities experienced (such as love, oneness..). And to also have the connection, awareness within our personality.
Then I would say that there is real Presence in life. Life is full, we are fully alive, connected inside and outside.
And not to separate the soul and personality, whole (all of us), but to emphasise the connection, the both and. The wholeness.
